It is with a heart full of gratitude and love that I write this tribute on behalf of late Mr Koffi Matthew Agbele ( Papa), my father inlaw.
I met Papa over 25 years ago when my wife Ellie who just arrived from Africa was living with him. From my first encounter with him I observed this stern behavior which is synonymous with the military personnel. He had a strong opinion in what he believed in and till his last breath he did not change.
All the time he talks about how the Lord is everything to him and the role the Almighty God has played in keeping him alive even in circumstances he cannot believe it’s possible.
As he grew older his faith and trust in the Lord grew more and more. Everytime we meet or call each other, our conversations are mostly centered on Jesus Christ and the amazing works he is doing in our lives.
All the time he was sick, I never saw or heard from him one day something that is negative about God. Always full of praise to God Almighty. He is one of the most positive persons I have ever met. In the midst of the excruciating pain he was going through he will always say that « he is going no where unless the Lord approves, and that he is ready anytime the owner of his life want it ».
Papa you will be missed, but I know you have gone to a better place where there is no sickness, decease, lack or worry. The place where our Lord Jesus Christ is where we all are also looking forward to end our lives and anything that want stand on that way, we command it to be destroyed now, in Jesus Christ name, Amen.
Adieu papa and know that your: wonderful wife, children, Inlaws, your church and the people of Togo loved you and showed it during your celebration of life. Until we meet again in Heaven bye for now and rest in peace.
From: Pastor Mike Ihuoma ( Ellie’s husband)
